Many Tools For Learning
The key to creating a successful homeschool curriculum, is to first determine what your child will be studying, and then develop your choice of learning resources based on your child’s learning style. Remember, an individual’s learning style refers to the way they most easily learn and process new information or skills. Remember, the 3r’s from our previous Getting Started page which explores 3 basic learning styles. You can then make an informed decisions in choosing the right resources.
Please take in to consideration that this is a new journey for you and there is an element of trial and error that you will experience as you gain an understanding of what will work best for your child. Everyone experiences this, so do not be discouraged. If you need guidance, our SLP advisors, Librarian, and Purchasing Coordinator have spent years working with families on resource ideas, and are very happy to help you. Also, our parent educators have always been the front line for gathering resources. Spend time getting to know them. Homeschoolers love to share resources and knowledge!
